Davis Mountains Part 2

Having gotten gas after running out and saved by cops from Texas State Police we headed on towards Davis Mountains State Park. On the way we saw a roadrunner, wild pigs, big horn sheep, deer, and a guy in a beat up Toyota pickup that insists on driving 30 miles per hour under the speed limit.

After what seemed like an eternity we arrived at one of the most beautiful parks I had ever seen. beautiful vistas, amazing trails and a night sky that was unsurpassed.

After spending a peaceful night we headed out early passing the McDonald Observatory just 10 miles from our campsite
