Winding our way to Los AngelEd, Vicki and I decided to, instead of going to one of the remote state or national parks out in the boondocks, visit Lake Havasu , one of the more populated state parks In Arizona.
Clearly it was bustling with boats zipping by our lake side campsite long into the evening. We went swimming in the cool water, I went fishing ( I didn’t get a bite) And we cooked an amazing hamburger and fries dinner on the beach grill.
All in all Lake Havasu was great with the exception that there really was nowhere to bike. Our hikes were along the beach, which while very nice, it was very windy.
Next time we need to stay longer and rent a boat and explore the Colorado River.
