Running from the smoke

The joke in surfing has always been, “you should’ve been here yesterday .”

Well, they are saying the same thing with these campsites. “ Yesterday was beautiful the smoke got here today.” The smoke was so thick we drove another 200 miles east and stopped at a town called Hotsprings Montana.

it looked romantically quaint on the internet, so, with visions of pine surrounded pools of hotness we ventured forth.

You know it is a bad sign when the high school’s mascot is the SAVAGE.

Depressed, both us and the economy. the hot springs incorporated a old plexyglass hot tub and the RV park that had a bunch of guys and kids drinking to drunkenness at 2:00 pm.

We took it. Needless to say, we did not indulge in the hot tub. A gem we did find was a guitar player who looked a great deal like Willie Nelson who was coincidentally playing willie songs.

but it was all good

Steve and Mary

After returning to Charolette  we meet up with Steve and Mary at a Mexican restaurant for lunch and we were able to visit with Steve this  time.  So good to see the cousins.
